A Practical Guide to Improving Temperature Measurement Accuracy
For many temperature applications, getting a high level of accuracy is vital. This white paper highlights how plant and site engineers can ensure the most accurate temperature measurement for critical applications. It shows how to select the best sensor for a particular application and ways to improve the accuracy of the sensor you choose. In particular, it details the reasons why 4-wire RTD sensors are almost always the best choice for high-accuracy temperature applications.
STZ Functional Safety Dual Input Smart HART Temperature Transmitter
The STZ is a dependable and accurate Smart HART temperature transmitter for use in Safety Instrumented Systems where dangerous processes occur. The SIL 3-capable STZ has a dual sensor input that provides backup and failover protection in case of a sensor failure.
Temperature Monitoring Of Liquid Spray Driers At Nutritional Supplement Company
A nutritional supplement company experienced temperature measurement errors in their liquid spray driers, causing unnecessary deluge activations and production losses. Moore Industries TDZ3 Smart HART Dual Input Temperature Transmitters replaced existing PLC cards and RTD sensors, offering advanced capabilities like backup/failover, low select, and corrosion detection. This increased production throughput, reduced deluge activations, and enhanced overall drier performance, allowing for better analysis and optimization of temperature data.
330R2 Digital Process & Temperature Panel Meter
The 330R2 digital process and temperature panel meter is one of the most versatile meters on the market. Its universal input and dual process relays will satisfy a wide variety of process and temperature applications. Housed in a 1/8 DIN enclosure with a Nema 4X & IP65 front panel, the meter can be field programmed to accept process voltage (0-5V, 1-5V, 0-10V, ±10V) and current (0-20mA, 4-20mA, ±20mA) inputs, 100 Ohm RTDs, and the four most common thermocouples.
