Thank you for caring about our families' well-being. In light of safety for our families, we would like to share an important update with you regarding COVID19 (Coronavirus) prevention.
After discussing possible approaches of precaution regarding COVID19 (Coronavirus) with our hospital partners as well as the City of Houston Health Department, Ronald McDonald House Houston leadership has made the decision to suspend volunteering and visitors at our RMHH programs for the next two weeks starting Wednesday, March 11th, with the possibility of extension. We will continue to review and provide a weekly update during this time period.
As you can imagine, limiting the amount of people our families come into contact with is an important part of infection control. We want to keep our especially immune-compromised children, as healthy as possible and focused on their current healthcare journey.
In the meantime, if you would like to get involved, please consider the following options -
1. Since all meal group volunteer activities have also been cancelled, help us stock up
staple groceries so families can cook for themselves/snack while at the hospital. You can get them delivered online from our Amazon wish lists:
