Low Voltage SIL 3 Capable Indicator For Level Monitoring
In oil & gas refineries, remote extraction sites, and power-generating facilities long cable runs can be necessary. However, those long runs can cause significant voltage drops. When a processing facility needed to add local displays to its Safety Instrumented System (SIS) loops, voltage consumption was the critical specification that had to be scrutinized.
The SLD PC-Programmable Functional Safety Loop Display features a large integral display that shows real-time process status in mA, percent, or any designated 5-character Engineering units (EGU). As part of Moore Industries' FS Functional Safety Series products, the SLD is certified by exida as a SIL3 capable, non-interfering device for use in a safety loop.
