Safety Variables to MODBUS/TCP

A chemical facility needed to share Safety Variables from HART® temperature transmitters with their MODBUS host while keeping the SIS protected. Using the SIL 3 capable SSX Safety Isolator to provide certified isolation, the HES HART-to-Ethernet Gateway safely converted HART data to MODBUS without impacting loop reliability. This solution ensured all dynamic variables and diagnostics were delivered securely to the SCADA system, fully compliant with IEC 61511 guidelines.
